Cónocht an Fómhair falls between the harvest festival of Lúnasa and the otherworldly festival of Samhain. As an equinox, it brings a natural balance to the land before descending into the depths of winter. Farmers recognise this as a time to prepare for shorter, cooler days ahead. In Dingle, the hedgerows begin to blaze with autumn colour and are laden with blackberries, rose hips and hawthorn berries. Ripe for picking.
Tasting Notes
Dingle Cónocht an Fómhair Single Malt brings aromas of fresh mint, rhubarb crumble dusted in brown sugar, toffee apple and icing sugar. Hints of tropical fruits, sweet raisins, honey, coconut and hazelnuts on the palate. A nice, clean finish with spiced fruits and warm caramel notes.
